Destination Wedding – Maharashtrian Wedding in Pune, India
I recently had the opportunity to photograph Janhavi & Nikhil’s Maharashtrian Wedding in Pune.
Pune is located in the western state of Maharashtra in India. It is a beautiful, buzzing and fascinating city. Pune seems to have a mix of rich culture, heritage and modernisation.
Overall, what a wonderful experience it was to see and be involved in such an eventful and exciting celebration. The wedding celebrations went over a few days. There was lots of delicious food, great music, energetic dancing and off course lots of love, laughter and memorable moments.
This love story is a sweet one
I first met Janhavi & Nikhil in Goa, back in 2014 at a Sikh wedding where I photographed for one of Janhavi’s friend’s wedding, Niharika. It so happened that Janhavi approached Nikhil on the dance floor of that very wedding and confessed her love and the fate was sealed between them both. Now, three years later they are married and I am super lucky to witness this journey with them, to be their wedding photographer and friend. 😊
Lots to celebrate
As mentioned, the wedding and associated events went over several days but only the Sangeet and the actual wedding day photos are displayed in this post. There are too many favourite photos and each event really deserves its own blog post. I hope you enjoy viewing the photos below. The Sangeet was held at Ashwavan Farms and the wedding was at The Mango Tree.
